HOW TO MEASURE

• For best results, have someone else take measurements.
• Measure body in underwear.
• Tape must be snug but not tight.
• If measurements fall between two sizes, order the larger size.

Height: without shoes, standing with heels and back against a wall.

Head: around your head, from the center of the forehead, above the ears and over the natural bump at the back of the head.

Arm Length: Let the hands hang down on the side in a slightly bent position. Measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the length of your arm, to the wrist.

Chest: measure under your arm, around the fullest part of your chest.

Waist: immediately below the lowest rib.

Hips: across the fullest part of the seat.

Inseam: without shoes, from crotch to the floor.

Gloves & Mitts: measure palm width.

GMAX HELMET SIZING CHART A great deal of effort has been put into making GMAX Helmets the better fitting North American helmet. Please use the following information to help choose the proper size helmet. In order for a helmet to protect properly and be the most comfortable, it must be sized to your head correctly.
The best way to check sizing is to put the helmet on and see that the helmet feels snug equally all around your head. The helmet should not feel too tight or too loose at any particular point around your head. Use the following chart to find the approximate size helmet for your head.
Please remember that all head shapes are slightly different and the sizing chart is to be used as a starting guide to fit the correct helmet size to your head. Measure the head circumference one inch above the eyebrows and ears, then use this chart to find your approximate size.

How to measure: wrap a soft, flexible measuring tape horizontally around your head 1 inch above your eyebrows and ears. Pull the tape softly snug, read the length and repeat for accuracy. Use the largest measurement. Select the helmet size that is the closest to your head measurement. If your head measurement falls between two helmet sizes, it is suggested to go with the smaller size.

Proper helmet fit is vital to the performance of a helmet during an impact. For maximum protection the helmet must fit properly with the chin strap securely fastened and provide adequate peripheral vision.

Measuring the head is only a starting point for the entire sizing procedure. Due to varying shapes, heads that are apparently the same size when measured by a tape may not necessarily fit the same size helmet.

A small metal tape measure or a cloth tape may be used to make your initial measurement. You can also use a string, which can then be laid against a measuring tape.

The circumference of the head should be measured at a point approximately one inch above the eyebrows in front, and at a point in the back of the head that results in the largest possible measurement. Take several measurements. The largest measurement is the one you want to try on first. If you use a balaclava or head sock, always measure and fit the helmet with it on. Use the Bell sizing chart to determine the size that best matches the head measurement.

When properly fitted, the helmet should be worn low on the brow, the eyes near the center of the eye opening, touching the top of the head with uniform and firm pressure all around – tight without excessive pressure points.
